The SPF is fully committed to provide its members with a fully-fledged pension based on a defined benefit system. Property development investment has been identified as an important area to assist the SPF in generating much needed financial returns to finance the various benefits that it pays out. Guided by the Investment Committee, projects are identified and undergo a due-diligence process before approval. Our aim in property development is to generate long-term growth and revenue whilst maintaining the rent at an affordable level.
The buildings that are currently listed in the SPF property portfolio includes Unity House, Pirates Arms, Oceangate House, The Multi-storey Carpark, Le Chantier Mall, Providence Warehouse, Pension Complex Praslin, Eve Island Warehouse and Cold Store, La Digue Pension House as well as part ownership of Caravelle house and Orion Mall.
The Property Section, the largest operational section of the SPF, is responsible to the General Manager, Investments.

Mr Marie joined the SPF in his present capacity in 2014. He holds a BSc (Hons) Water & Land Management, University of Bradford UK and his main responsibilities are to control property management and maintenance costs by monitoring property administration and maintenance costs, ensure full occupancy of the Fund’s properties to guarantee maximum return.
